Mom's Sugar Cookies

1/2 Cup Butter-softened
1 Cup Sugar
1 Egg
1 1/2 Teaspoons Vanilla
3 1/4 Cup Flour
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
1/2 Cup Cream-Half and Half

Cream butter, eggs, and sugar. Add vanilla.  Add dry ingredients and cream alternating cream and flour mixture.  Roll 1/4" thick and cut out.  Bake at 375 for 8-10 minutes.

These are soft and yummy.

Best frosting

1/4 Cup Butter-softened
4 Cups Powdered Sugar
2-4 Tablespoons Milk
1 Teaspoon Almond Flavoring

Mix all together adding 1 tablespoon at a time of the milk.
